About this event
Juilliard's Historical Performance division takes its period instruments uptown to the Met for a late-morning chamber programme. Gut strings and historical bows in the museum's galleries make a very different sound from a modern concert hall, and the division is one of the strongest early-music training programmes anywhere.
Why we picked it
Period-instrument chamber music inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, free, on a Friday morning.
Free entry
Free admission — the event carries the `free` classification in Lincoln Center's own campus calendar, which lists it and links to this Juilliard event page. Juilliard's own page is behind a Cloudflare challenge, so the wording could not be read directly; the same calendar marks the School's ticketed Drama and Orchestra productions as not free.
