A Staten Island morning of stewardship in one of the city's wilder parks — pond, woodland and a shoreline most New Yorkers have never seen. Volunteers clear invasives, tidy paths and plant, with tools provided. The early start pays off: the light on the water before nine is the reason regulars keep coming back.
