About this event
A drop-in taster soccer session in Clove Lakes Park for children new to the game: age-appropriate drills, small-sided games and coaching pitched at building confidence rather than picking teams. It runs across the morning so families can pick a slot. Run by a youth-sports provider as a free introduction to its paid programmes, with no obligation to sign up.
Why we picked it
A free, no-commitment first soccer session for small children, outdoors in one of Staten Island's best parks.
Free entry
New York Family's listing gives the cost as "Free"; the programme copy calls it a "FREE Soccer Demo Class".
