About this event
An early-season Halloween party in a Bronx park: carnival games, crafts, face painting and a chance to test-drive the costume three weeks before anyone else sees it. Run by NYC Parks with the local council member, so it is pitched squarely at neighbourhood families rather than at visitors.
Why we picked it
The first proper Halloween event of the window, and a look at how the outer boroughs actually do the season.
Free entry
Carried in Mommy Poppins' "Free Halloween Events in NYC for Kids" roundup; no admission charge stated. Organiser page is on nycgovparks.org, which blocks automated fetching, so this is uncorroborated at source.
Registration
