About this event

Archtober stages a talk on a subway platform. Art duo Data Vandals have turned a disused newsstand on the downtown 6 at 51st Street into a gallery, and for an hour engineers explain what it actually takes to work in the underbelly of New York — tunnels, water mains, signals, the lot — with trains going past.

Why we picked it

An engineering talk held on a live subway platform inside a newsstand-turned-gallery. Free and very New York.
