About this event
Oka Rusmini moves from the open protest of her earlier work toward something more restrained: a collection that archives memory and stitches together the traumas of Balinese women rather than shouting about them. One of the most significant Indonesian-language launches in the programme.
Why we picked it
A major Balinese author in a new register, in Indonesian, free to attend.
Free entry
Festival programme page carries ticketAvailability "Free With Registration" and a "Free Event" register button linking to the festival's book-launch registration form; no ticket price is attached to the session.
