About this event
Two hours at the Kuffner Observatory in Ottakring with the great 1884 refractor pointed at the Moon and Saturn. If the sky cooperates you get the rings through nineteenth-century optics; if it doesn't, the historic instrument hall is worth the climb anyway.
Why we picked it
A working Victorian observatory, free, on a clear-ish late-October evening — and Saturn through that telescope is a genuinely memorable sight.
