Vienna's sprawling self-managed arts centre turns 45 and throws open its whole complex for a free birthday party. The former locomotive factory fills its courtyards and halls with concerts, workshops, performance and open studios, showing off its many lives at once: cultural venue, workplace, experiment, meeting place and home to dozens of artists and initiatives.
