About this event
Carlo Infante and Giorgio Fabretti lead a walkabout through the Cava Fabretti quarry as part of Appia Day, the annual reopening of the Roman road. It is a walking seminar rather than a guided tour: participants carry the conversation along with them, and the quarry's geology does the rest.
Why we picked it
Appia Day is the one weekend the Via Appia's lesser-known sites are opened and talked through properly.
Free entry
Roma Capitale listing states “Ingresso libero con prenotazione consigliata”.
