About this event
Nine days when Phuket Town dresses in white. Devotees of the Nine Emperor Gods keep a strict vegetarian fast, shrines open from dawn, and the streets around Jui Tui fill with stalls flying the yellow jay flag. Firecrackers go off by the crate. It is the loudest, strangest and most photographed week of the Phuket year, and almost all of it happens in public.
Why we picked it
The biggest free cultural event in southern Thailand, and it falls squarely inside the window — the strongest Thai listing available this run.
