About this event
The second of three Manhattan Summer Streets Saturdays. Traffic is cleared from a continuous route running from the Brooklyn Bridge up through Lafayette Street, Park Avenue and Harlem to Dyckman Street, and the roadway fills with cyclists, runners, skaters and families. Rest stops hosted by community partners lay on free fitness classes, kids' programming, interactive public art and giveaways through the morning.
Why we picked it
A rare chance to cycle or walk the length of Manhattan without a single car, and everything laid on is free.
Free entry
Free to attend, no ticket. NYC DOT advertises free activities along the route and free Citi Bike rides during event hours.
