About this event
The Gardiner Foundation Great Hall Forum presents New York premieres of two short operas by Dawn Avery, a Grammy-nominated cellist-composer of Mohawk descent, with music director Danielle Olana Jagelski. Trials and Tears responds to Benny Andrews's painting of the Trail of Tears; Sacajawea: Women of Many Names follows. A first live performance, free in the Great Hall.
