About this event
Artist Jen Ray and data designer Jason Forrest turned a disused subway newsstand into a data-art gallery read by some 52,000 riders a day. For Archtober they are showing short films from the Architecture & Design Film Festival in what the organisers cheerfully call the city's smallest, hottest, loudest cinema. Free, strange and entirely New York.
Why we picked it
A film screening inside a converted newsstand on a 6 train platform, free, and unlike anything else in the city's Archtober programme.
