About this event
Boyle Heights' legendary Chicano print workshop opens its doors every October Saturday for the run-up to Día de los Muertos. This session is calavera mask-making: cut, paint and decorate your own skull mask alongside neighbours and visiting artists, with every material supplied and nobody turned away on age.
Why we picked it
Self Help Graphics invented LA's public Día de los Muertos celebration in 1972 — this is the real thing, not a themed pop-up.
