About this event
Children aged eight to fourteen invent a game, write its rules, then play-test it to make sure a cheating monster could not break it. Led by author Kim Adelman with the writing charity 826LA, it is a writing workshop disguised as dice-rolling and buzzer-beating, which is the point. Spots are limited, so reserve.
Why we picked it
A free, properly structured writing workshop for kids run with 826LA, where the writing is hidden inside a game.
Free entry
Hammer event page: "These free collaborative workshops, presented with 826LA, combine writing with creative activities for students ages 8-14. Reservations encouraged, spots limited."
