About this event
Lithuania's film archive screens classics from actual reels rather than digital files, so you see the works in the form they were made in — grain, splices and projector hum included. The Cinematheque runs these free Thursday-evening screenings weekly, excepting the last Thursday of the month, which is given over to the 16 mm evening. Repertoire is published on the archive's own site.
Why we picked it
Genuine 35 mm reel projection of film classics, free, every Thursday — increasingly rare anywhere in Europe.
Free entry
"Weekly free of charge screenings take place on Thursdays at 7 p.m. in the Cinematheque hall"
