About this event
The Černiauskas brothers photograph what bread cost in the Soviet era — the shortages, the queues, the deprivation behind an ordinary loaf. The show grew from a family memory: two linen bags of dried bread kept in the house long after the family returned from exile, because, their grandmother said, nobody starves who has a loaf.
