About this event
The Gataveckas twins, Baltic Award laureates and 2026 National Portrait Gallery selectees, turn a single canvas into an object: stripped from its stretcher, coated in lapis lazuli, folded and shrink-wrapped. The show asks where institutional care stops and the flattening of the individual begins. Conceived as one installation rather than a hang of separate works, and it closes on 3 October.
