About this event
Pierpont Morgan's private library is the most improbable room in midtown: three storeys of walnut bookcases, a painted ceiling, a Gutenberg Bible in the corner. On Friday evenings the Morgan opens it, and the surrounding exhibition galleries of drawings and manuscripts, at no charge. It is a small museum, which is the point — an hour is enough, and the hour is memorable.
