About this event
Olmsted and Vaux designed Eastern Parkway as the world's first parkway, and for one Saturday it belongs entirely to pedestrians and cyclists. The route runs from Grand Army Plaza through Crown Heights to Buffalo Avenue, threading past the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden. Eight hours, no cars, and a stretch of Brooklyn that rarely gets to breathe.
Why we picked it
A car-free crossing of central Brooklyn on a landmark parkway, with a full eight-hour window.
Free entry
Open public street event on city roadways. No ticket, admission or wristband exists.
