About this event

An Expanding the Ancient World workshop on Roman slavery, following enslaved lives from the silver mines to the imperial household on the Palatine. Scholarly, unsentimental and open to the public, in a series that deliberately widens who gets written into ancient history.

Why we picked it

Serious ancient-history scholarship, free and in public, on a subject usually confined to seminar rooms.
