About this event
A summer ritual that needs no ticket and no plan. Every Friday night the sky above the Atlantic explodes over Coney Island, best watched from the sand or the boardwalk with the Wonder Wheel lit up behind you. Arrive early, eat your way along the boardwalk, ride the Cyclone at dusk, then find a patch of beach around West 12th Street before the first shell goes up at roughly 9.45pm.
