About this event
Felipe Cazals' 'Canoa', one of the hardest films Mexican cinema has produced, screens in the Palacio de Linares as part of Casa de América's Latin American film programme. A docudrama about a 1968 lynching in a Puebla village, it still works as an anatomy of how rumour turns into violence. Seats go on a first-come basis.
Why we picked it
A landmark of Mexican political cinema, screened free inside a palace on Cibeles.
