About this event
Carrie Mae Weems works from the premise that every migration story is also a love story — about who is left behind, who is met on arrival, and what makes somewhere a home. Her film installation is one of a group of commissions at the new V&A East Museum, all free, all closing on 18 October, which makes a single trip to Stratford worth several works at once.
Why we picked it
A major American artist's new commission at London's newest museum, free, and part of a cluster of works closing the same day.
