About this event
Suzani are the hand-embroidered textiles Uzbek brides once took into marriage, and Aziza Kadyri uses them to ask who the makers were and why their names went unrecorded. Commissioned for the London Design Festival and staying up into the new year, it is a quiet, precise installation in a museum whose textile holdings give it plenty to argue with.
