About this event
On the anniversary of the 9 October 1989 demonstration, the Stasi records archive opens for the evening in the former district headquarters on the Dittrichring. You walk through the building the marchers surrounded, with the files still in it — the most direct way in Leipzig to stand inside that history.
Why we picked it
Open until 23:00 on the exact anniversary, inside the former Stasi district headquarters itself.
Free entry
Detail page states 'Eintritt frei'; the calendar's admission field reads 'Kostenlos'.
