About this event
Founded around the Helsinki Klezmer Festival two decades ago, this band plays the wedding music of Eastern European Jewish tradition with clarinet lines that swoop between wild joy and sudden grief. It is music built for dancing outdoors, and the Esplanadi stage suits it. A free, warm and slightly raucous late-afternoon set in the middle of town.
