About this event
Since 1927, Finnish military bands have entertained summer crowds at Espan lava, and this August the Guards Band takes the stage for an afternoon of marches, film themes and popular favourites. It's a slice of Helsinki tradition that draws a mixed crowd of tourists, pensioners and lunch-break office workers to the deckchairs of Esplanadi park - free, unticketed and always well attended.
