About this event

Starr Chief Eagle performs the Lakota hoop dance — up to twenty-two hoops worked into shapes, creatures and whole narratives as she moves — alongside an interactive session on Lakota language, art and knowledge. A rare tradition, rarely seen performed live.

Why we picked it

One of the few people performing 22-hoop Lakota hoop dance, in an Old Town fieldhouse, for nothing.
