About this event
The City-Wide Symphony Orchestra is housed in the Jefferson Park fieldhouse, and on a Sunday afternoon it opens its doors and plays a full classical programme to whoever walks in. No ticket desk, no dress code, just an amateur-and-pro orchestra filling a Northwest Side park building with strings and brass for ninety minutes.
Why we picked it
A real symphony concert in a neighbourhood park fieldhouse, with no admission at all — the kind of thing visitors never find on their own.
