About this event

Barcelona's oldest festival, running since 1589, packs five days of Catalan popular culture into the squares behind the cathedral. Expect an artisans' fair along Avinguda de la Catedral, a gathering and dance of the neighbourhood giants, the Sant Roc procession, traditional street games and a correfoc led by the Gothic Quarter's own devils. It is small, unhurried and completely unstaged for tourists.

Why we picked it

A 437-year-old neighbourhood festa major in the heart of the Gothic Quarter where every activity is free.

Free entry
