Chelsea Reed and the Fair Weather Band take the early-evening slot on Lincoln Center's open-air dance floor, the plaza space laid down each summer specifically for social dancing rather than sitting still. It is a come-as-you-are Friday: no ticket, no seat allocation, and a crowd that ranges from lifelong swing dancers to people who wandered in off Broadway.
