Über dieses Event
Members of the Amateur Astronomers Association set up telescopes on the elevated park near 13th Street every Tuesday night and point them at whatever the Manhattan sky will give up — the Moon, Saturn, Jupiter's moons. No experience needed, no equipment needed, all ages. Clouds cancel it, so check before setting out.
Warum wir es ausgewählt haben
A weekly, no-cost, no-booking way to use a dark-ish hour on the High Line, run by volunteer astronomers rather than a paid tour operator — and October evenings are long enough to catch it after work.
Freier Eintritt
Organiser states on the event page: "This High Line program is free and open to visitors of all ages. No RSVP is required." Telescopes are provided.
Anmeldung
Anmeldung nötig
None required. Subject to cancellation in overcast conditions — the High Line posts cancellations on the event page.
