Über dieses Event
Turn up at the Dredgers' boathouse on 2nd Street, get into a canoe and paddle the protected Gowanus Canal at your own pace. No experience needed: club volunteers launch you from the dock and talk you through the route past bulkheads, wildlife and the industrial backs of Brooklyn. One of the very few free ways on the water in the city, and among the last dates of the season.
Warum wir es ausgewählt haben
Free canoeing in the middle of Brooklyn, and the replacement for the city's defunct free-kayaking programme.
Freier Eintritt
The club's own calendar titles the session "FREE Walk-Up Paddling – 2nd St." (priced events on the same calendar carry explicit $5–$15 charges).
Anmeldung
Anmeldung nötig
None — walk-up, first come first served. Sessions are cancelled for weather and the club flags cancellations on the same calendar entry, so check before travelling.
