Über dieses Event
The last day of the Downtown Boathouse's 2026 free kayaking season. Volunteers supply the boat, the life vest and the basic paddling lesson; you supply the ability to swim and a willingness to get wet below the waist. Groups are welcome up to ten people and queue with everyone else. Closing time is when the last boats go out, so arrive well before 4:30pm.
Warum wir es ausgewählt haben
A hard deadline gives this one real editorial urgency — the programme does not return until late May 2026.
Freier Eintritt
Organiser's own page: "Free Kayaking — May 23 — October 4, 2026"; "Our free kayaking program provides an opportunity for New Yorkers and visitors to get out on the water".
