New York City Opera brings its voices to the Bryant Park lawn for an evening of Ella Fitzgerald: the Songbook years, the scat, the standards, reframed by opera-trained singers. Skyscrapers on all four sides, blankets on the grass, and complimentary blankets and chairs handed out on a first-come basis.
