Über dieses Event
Drawn from Henry Playford's Harmonia Sacra, this programme revives seventeenth-century English devotional song — not the ceremonial music of the church service, but intimate exchanges between a person and God, written with something close to theatrical force. Purcell anchors a repertoire that rarely surfaces live in Central Europe.
Warum wir es ausgewählt haben
Early English sacred song is a genuine rarity on Budapest stages, and here it costs nothing.
