Germany's national history museum drops its admission charge for German Unity Day. It is the obvious place to spend 3 October: the Zeughaus on Unter den Linden holds the country's main historical collection, and the division and reunification rooms read very differently on the anniversary itself. Expect queues by late morning and go early.
