Greece's August full moon tradition opens 126 archaeological sites, monuments and museums nationwide for evening visits, with 61 of them hosting concerts and performances. Athens venues take part alongside the rest of the country. It is the one night of the year to see the city's ancient stones by moonlight rather than in the midday glare.

Ministry of Culture programme: participating sites and museums admit visitors with free entry for the evening. Individual Athens venues, times and any capacity limits should be checked on culture.gov.gr closer to the date.
