The last August date of the city's free astronomy programme, in the quiet, hilly Parc Georges Brassens. Darker skies arrive earlier by late August, so the observing window is longer than at the start of the month. Volunteer astronomers provide telescopes and commentary; there is nothing to book and nothing to pay.
