About this event
Tadeusz Chmielewski's comedy is so completely of the October thaw that its humour turned out to be unrepeatable: a city of absurd police and sleepless nights, played for laughs that only 1957 could produce. Part of FINA's free season on the films the Polish thaw made possible.
Why we picked it
A genuinely funny Polish classic, free, with a curator's framing around 1956.
