About this event
One of Europe's great free traditions, now in its 67th season: every Sunday at noon and 4pm a pianist sits down beneath the art nouveau Chopin monument and plays to whoever has settled on the grass. Bring a blanket, arrive early for a spot near the front, and hear the mazurkas and nocturnes outdoors in the park Chopin's music is inseparable from. On 2 August the recitalists are Kamila Sacharzewska and Krzysztof Wierciński.
Why we picked it
A 67-year-old free open-air piano tradition at the Chopin monument, and the single most characteristic thing to do in Warsaw on a summer Sunday.
Free entry
Admission to all Sunday Chopin Concerts is free, per the Royal Łazienki Museum.
