About this event
A disused railway yard in Breitenlee is being turned into a nature reserve, and the LIFE VienNATURA team opens the site: an afternoon walk across the ground with a planting session, then evening sessions at the village heuriger where ecologists take questions. A rare look at a restoration project while it is still being argued over.
Why we picked it
Walk a railway yard mid-transformation into a Pannonian nature reserve, then interrogate the ecologists.
Free entry
City of Vienna event page states the price as "Gratis". The walk needs no registration ("Am Rundgang können Sie ohne Anmeldung teilnehmen"); the indoor information sessions ask for registration.
