About this event
Recipes and stories from inside Justizanstalt Wien-Josefstadt, presented in the Grand Jury Courtroom of the Vienna Regional Court itself. Austria's largest prison sits in its smallest district, and this is a look behind its walls through what people there cook and eat. The venue does as much work as the book: you are sitting in the room where verdicts are handed down.
Why we picked it
The chance to sit in Vienna's Grand Jury Courtroom is reason enough; a cookbook written from inside the prison next door makes it genuinely unusual.
Free entry
Cost field on the City of Vienna event page reads "Gratis" (free).
