About this event
For the 9 d'Octubre, Valencia rebuilds Jaume I's encampment in the Parc Central: tents, workshops and reenactors staffing both the civil and the military quarters, with free run of the site across the opening weekend. It is the most substantial of the holiday's daytime offerings and the one that rewards an hour's wandering rather than ten minutes of watching a parade go past.
Why we picked it
A full 13th-century camp reconstruction you can walk through, free, in Valencia's newest central park — and the only civic 9 d'Octubre act for which a free-admission statement actually exists.
Free entry
Free — a local events publication's programme report states 'el público podrá recorrer gratuitamente un espacio'. The Ajuntament's own listing says only 'visita libre' (self-guided), which is not a price statement, so this rests on the secondary source.
Registration
None
A third-party event from official public listings, checked by Glentio. Programmes can change. Confirm on the organiser's site.
