About this event
The Day of the Valencian Community is the city's own national day. At noon the Senyera is carried from the town hall to the cathedral with a floral tribute to Jaume I; at two the Placa de l'Ajuntament takes a daylight mascleta straight to the chest; at half five the Moors and Christians work their way up Carrer de la Pau. Street theatre on a civic scale.
