Mon 5 Oct, 18:30 · Aliança Francesa, Rua Ex-Gago Coutinho, São Tomé · São Tomé
via Kezir · Checked 4 Oct 2026
About this event
Tocá Rufar, the social percussion orchestra that has been teaching São Tomé's young players to drum together, marks its second birthday with a gala concert at the Alliance Française. Expect massed percussion, the kind of rhythm section a whole street can hear, and an audience that mostly knows the players. Doors on Rua Ex-Gago Coutinho; the listing gives a 18:30 start.
Why we picked it
The island's only confirmed free concert in the window, from a community music project rather than a bar night.
