About this event
The men's choir Tēvzeme, from the Īrga culture centre, sings a programme dedicated to the legendary Latvian conductor Haralds Mednis on the 120th anniversary of his birth. Mednis shaped the national song festival tradition, and the choir has built the evening around work that has not been performed before. The setting is Gunnar Birkerts' Castle of Light on the Daugava.
