About this event
The Baltic tradition of Ancient Fire Night sees bonfires lit along the coast at dusk in a chain of light stretching around the sea. Riga's own fire burns on Vakarbulli beach at the mouth of the Daugava, with folk music and a slow gathering crowd. Bring a jacket - late August evenings on the Gulf of Riga turn cool quickly.
