About this event
Hundreds of townspeople in Moorish and Christian costume re-stage Pollença's 1550 defence against the corsair Dragut, fighting street by street through the old town until the Christian side wins on Plaça Major. It is loud, chaotic and completely unstaged for tourists, and it draws thousands of spectators. Watching costs nothing; finding a spot with a view takes hours.
